"Vietnam - Japan love story" is recreated on stage

As part of a series of events celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations (1973-2023), on September 30 in Da Nang, the cultural exchange program "Vietnam - Japan Love Story" will take place.

Inspired by the love story of Princess Ngoc Hoa and a Japanese merchant from Hoi An to Nagasaki in the 16th century, Vietnam - Japan Love Story is the "sweet memories of an "insider" about the two countries.

The program featured performances of timeless melodies, ao dai and kimono performances, and a highlight of a modern Vietnamese-Japanese wedding scene. The umbrella dance, Yosakoi dance, and the Vietnam in Me choir performed by the students brought a fresh, youthful breeze.

Participating in the program is artist Toshiki Usui. He is a famous pianist in Japan and internationally. Not only is he a natural artist, he also participates in many musical activities to support goodwill initiatives.

Artist Toshiki Usui will perform the song Little Bird by Maki Ueda, poem by Michio Mado, translated into English by Japanese Empress Michiko.

Keiko Borjeson is a Jazz artist. She has been performing since she was 5 years old and has toured all over the world since the 1980s. Her love for Vietnam has brought her to Da Nang since 2022 with tours in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City...

At the event, artist Keiko Borjeson will play and sing the song "My Love" (Koibito yo) by musician Mayumi Itsuwa and participate in a Japanese wedding scene.

Beauty Thuy Van, who competed in the Miss International 2015 contest in Tokyo and won the title of 3rd runner-up, and was awarded the title of Japan Tourism Ambassador, will also appear in the program. Runner-up Thuy Van will be the talk show host and will perform the song My Viet Nam , which she composed.

The highlight of the cultural exchange program is also the Vietnamese Ao Dai performance by designer Anh Thu. The Vietnamese wedding scene by the young Vietnamese-Japanese couple, Le Chieu Duc and Mio Nakamura with designs by designer Anh Thu will also bring the audience impressive experiences.

In addition to the Ao Dai performance, this event also featured a Kimono performance by students from Dong A University, Da Nang.
