Fire police and special elite rescuers on land approached high-rise apartments to rescue and guide more than 60 people to escape safely.
On November 3, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PC07) of Ho Chi Minh City Police is still coordinating with relevant units to investigate the cause of the fire that occurred at apartment Block A3, The Era Town Duc Khai apartment building, Phu My ward.
Initially, the authorities determined that the fire broke out in the gene box of block A3, creating a large amount of smoke that rose high into several apartments in the building. Fortunately, there were no human casualties.
According to the developments, at more than 7 pm last night (November 2), smoke rose and spread into the apartments on the upper floors. The building management immediately connected the fire alarm to alert the residents.
The on-site fire fighting force coordinated with Phu My Ward Police to approach the scene, guide and move hundreds of residents from the apartments through the fire exit to the apartment lobby.
During the fire, many residents climbed onto the roof and windows to shout for help.
The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team, District 7 Police mobilized specialized fire fighting vehicles and officers and soldiers to the scene to approach the fire. Ladder trucks and ambulances were also mobilized in large numbers, in case the fire spreads, many people are trapped and injured.
PC07 of Ho Chi Minh City Police also mobilized the newly established elite Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team on land and several units to the scene.
The elite police team approached the trapped people, using modern equipment such as smoke extractors to search for victims. After a short time, more than 60 people were rescued by the elite police and guided to escape the incident safely.
Late that night, residents of Block A3 returned to their apartments after the fire fighting and rescue work was completed.
