Nhan duck noodle shop owner speaks out after accusation on social media

In recent days, social networks have been constantly sharing posts by a customer who is said to have had a bad experience at the famous Nhan duck noodle shop in Hanoi. According to the content of the post, because he knew that the restaurant had a rule that if you sit inside, you have to buy water, but because he did not have the habit of drinking water while eating, he decided to come early to sit outside. When he arrived at the restaurant at around 9:40, although the restaurant was not open yet, there were already many people waiting and at the same time, this customer was also informed by the staff to go somewhere and come back later because "she did not make even one serving".

However, because the restaurant was quite far from home and the restaurant was also famous for its delicious noodles, the customer decided to wait. After Mrs. Nhan went down, seeing the customer alone, she not only refused to sell but also used some harsh words. Even after that, according to the article, Mrs. Nhan continued to say "burn your soul" even after you had already taken your bike and left.

Today (April 15), talking to us about the above incident, Ms. Nhan, owner of Nhan duck noodle shop, said that she herself had just returned from Nghe An and Thanh Hoa last night and was very surprised by the incident. It can be seen that the noodle shop is still quite crowded with customers coming and going:

"The other day (April 13), I was busy going to a ceremony. When I came here, there were already 4 guests sitting in the house. I said I had to go somewhere, and I didn't have any sales yet, so they were happy to go. When I came out and saw her sitting here, I said, "I'm busy today, so I don't have any sales yet."

Normally, my house opens at 9 o'clock, but it was already 10 o'clock. She was still sitting there. I went in to get my bike and saw her still sitting there. The staff just told me she didn't have it yet. I told them, if she doesn't have it yet, she doesn't have it yet. Today I have to go to Thanh Hoa , I have to go shopping, so it took hours. I didn't scold the customer, I didn't look down on her, I don't understand why it turned out like that. When a crippled person comes here, I even scoop noodles for him to eat. I don't discriminate against him."

Regarding the issue of burning the soul as reflected by the diners in the post, Ms. Nhan said that this has been her habit for a long time on days when business is slow. However, on the day of the incident, she denied that she burned the soul:

"From the past until now, if there is no product after 12 o'clock, I will be scared. Actually, the day she was sitting here, I rode my bike away without opening the store. I said my legs were running, so where would I get scared? I just said that and left."

Talking to Ms. Nhan about the reason for frequent staff changes, the owner of the famous duck noodle shop in Hanoi said that because the staff did not know how to make it, she was forced to change:

"If I don't know how to do a job for a day, I still have to pay. If I can't teach someone for a week, half a week, half a month, I have to send them to do something else. That's natural. For example, if I tell someone to wash a bucket, but they don't know how to wash it, I have to go back to work. I'm only allowed to teach for 2 weeks at most, right? How can I teach every day?"

Regarding the "scandals" that continuously appear on social networks reflecting her bad attitude towards customers, Ms. Nhan also said that she is not afraid of those things because it is too easy for a person to post "exposé" content online: "You cannot shut people's mouths. If you say right or wrong, add salt and pepper, people will say that they are guilty."

There are still quite a lot of people coming to enjoy the famous Nhan duck noodle dish.

Mrs. Nhan's duck noodle shop has existed for several decades. Mrs. Nhan said that she has learned a lot from the feedback. However, "there are many, but people always find out the story from a long time ago, so how can I forbid it? Being a daughter-in-law of hundreds of families, I cannot please everyone" - Mrs. Nhan explained.

"I have a rule that when you come to my house to eat, you have to be understanding and wait in line. My house is quite crowded, but I serve everyone, from the least rich to the most rich, I don't discriminate against anyone. Sometimes I even scoop food for the elderly first, afraid that they will fall in here, so I have the staff lead them here. I'm not like what people say."
