On the afternoon of September 9, due to the rising water level of the Thai Binh River, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Chi Linh City requested localities with cultivated areas outside the dike to urgently harvest vegetables and secure fish cages on the river.

Localities have deployed close monitoring and 24/7 on-duty at dike watch points, while preparing supplies and being on-duty at key points.

Communes and wards with dykes should prepare materials and equipment for flood prevention, and arrange material gathering locations in easily accessible locations. Do a good job of information and propaganda work so that people can grasp the flood situation, and prepare plans to evacuate people to safe locations.

Support the relocation of assets and ensure security for people, develop plans to ensure health care , medical treatment for people, clean water, environmental sanitation...

After checking in Chi Linh, Nhan Hue commune currently has 30 hectares of watermelons ready for harvest and 320 fish cages on Thai Binh river. This is the locality with the largest area of ​​vegetables grown outside the dike in Chi Linh. To ensure safety, the city police force and the city military command have helped people harvest about 20 hectares of watermelons; secured 320 fish cages on the river. About 10 hectares of watermelons are still being harvested due to rising water levels...

At 1:00 p.m. on September 9, the water level of Thai Binh River at Pha Lai reached 4.12 m, exceeding alarm level I by 0.12 m.
