Hanoi Chairman: 'A80 Grand Ceremony affirms the strength of national solidarity'

The Chairman of Hanoi expressed that the commemorative activities and the A80 Anniversary Ceremony have affirmed the strength of national solidarity, spreading patriotism and national pride.

On the afternoon of September 15, the Hanoi City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee held a conference to review the organization of commemorative activities and the 80th anniversary celebration, parade, and march for the successful August Revolution and National Day, September 2 (A80).

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh expressed that the commemorative activities and the A80 Anniversary Ceremony have affirmed the strength of national unity, spreading patriotism and national pride. At the same time, educating the young generation about the glorious revolutionary tradition, fostering the will and aspiration to build a strong and prosperous Vietnam.

"Promoting the indomitable spirit of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the Party Committee, government and people of Hanoi are determined to uphold the thousand-year-old tradition of civilization, unite as one, and continue to make worthy contributions to the nation's revolutionary cause," Mr. Thanh affirmed.

According to the Chairman of Hanoi, in the coming time, the tasks set for the capital are extremely large and heavy. In particular, the city needs to focus on preparing and successfully organizing the 18th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party in 2026. This is a key political task, with significance in orienting the development of the capital in the new period.

At the same time, Hanoi must strive to effectively implement the two-level urban government model, carry out major reforms to streamline the apparatus, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of management and service to the people...

With the spirit of "Hanoi for the whole country, with the whole country", Mr. Thanh believes that the Party Committee, government and people of the capital will continue to unite, strive, and excellently complete all assigned tasks, contributing to realizing the aspiration of building a prosperous and happy Vietnam.
