Ms. Le Thi Phuong, Director of the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace, delivered the opening speech.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Le Thi Phuong, Director of the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace, emphasized that on his journey to find a way to save the country and liberate the nation, Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh had many important activities in the Soviet Union (now Russia). He had deep and lasting affection for the country and people here. He affirmed that the October Revolution was not only an achievement of the Russian people but also a victory of all oppressed peoples around the world , including the Vietnamese people.

In the light of the Russian October Revolution, directly the Theses of VI Lenin on the national and colonial questions, he led the Vietnamese revolution to follow the path of the successful Russian October Revolution. Nguyen Ai Quoc's activities here were of special importance not only to his revolutionary life but also greatly influenced the Vietnamese national liberation movement.

In Russia, Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh met the people who made the October Revolution; made friends with many communist soldiers from colonial countries; studied at the Communist University of the East and the International Lenin School; worked with the Eastern Department of the Communist International Executive Committee; gradually laid the foundation for the brotherly friendship between Vietnam and Russia and made every effort to contribute to the development and consolidation of that friendship. Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh's efforts in Lenin's homeland made him a great friend of the Russian people.

During his official visit to the Soviet Union in July 1955, President Ho Chi Minh declared: "We firmly believe that from today the cooperation between the Soviet and Vietnamese people will be further strengthened, and the unbreakable friendship between our two countries will become increasingly stronger."

For Russia, Vietnam is a friend, a comrade and a model for colonial countries in the struggle for independence and socialist construction. For Vietnam, Russia is a comrade in arms and a strategic partner in important historical moments. This relationship is not only a union between two countries but also a symbol of international solidarity in the world revolutionary movement.

During the most difficult years, at times when life and death were hanging by a thread, the Vietnamese people always received the sincere, righteous, and fraternal help of the Russian people in the cause of national liberation and nation building.

"At President Ho Chi Minh's residence and workplace at the Presidential Palace today, precious historical documents and artifacts imbued with the Vietnam-Russia relationship are still preserved, along with familiar, everyday stories about his heart for Russia and the affection of Soviet Russia for beloved Uncle Ho of the Vietnamese people," said Ms. Le Thi Phuong.

The exhibition introduces to the public and people of Russia valuable documents and images about Nguyen Ai Quoc's vibrant activities in Lenin's homeland; his efforts in strengthening and consolidating the close friendship between Vietnam and Russia.
