Mr. Le Van Dung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province, has just requested MBLand Da Nang Joint Stock Company to closely coordinate with the People's Committee of Dien Ban town, the Center for Land Fund Development and the Departments, units and localities of Dien Ban town in the process of implementing compensation, site clearance and resettlement to soon be allocated land and deploy construction to complete the Model Urban Area Project in Dien Nam - Dien Ngoc New Urban Area, Dien Ban town to ensure progress.

Dien Ban Town People's Committee focuses on directing the Land Fund Development Center and Departments, units and localities of Dien Ban Town to complete the work of compensation, site clearance and resettlement to hand over the site to the investor to organize construction to complete the Model Urban Area Project to ensure progress.

“In case of difficulties or problems, the People's Committee of Dien Ban town shall promptly report to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment for guidance on resolution or advise the Provincial People's Committee to consider and direct resolution; at the same time, review, prepare content, and report on specific compensation progress of urban projects and key public investment projects in the area to serve the provincial leaders' work,” Mr. Dung directed.

As Dau Tu Newspaper has reported, although the implementation period has expired for more than a year, up to now, the Model Urban Area Project in Dien Nam - Dien Ngoc New Urban Area (Dien Ban town, Quang Nam) has not yet completed site clearance, has not been allocated land, and has not yet begun construction.

According to reports from the investor and local authorities, the reasons for the slow progress are difficulties and problems in compensation and site clearance; the Covid-19 epidemic situation; procedures for registering annual land use plans; and adjustments to detailed planning.

Therefore, MBLand Da Nang Joint Stock Company has proposed to adjust the project completion schedule, extending it by 24 months after being approved by the Provincial People's Committee and updating business information due to changes in the Business Registration Certificate.

This project is on the list of projects that have selected investors in violation of regulations and have been inspected and concluded by the Central Inspection Committee .

According to the Department of Planning and Investment of Quang Nam province, during the inspection by the Central agency, this Project stopped carrying out related procedures.

“The Department of Planning and Investment found that, for previous projects that had selected investors in violation of regulations, which were inspected and concluded by the Central Inspection Committee, the land allocation and lease did not comply with the provisions of Articles 116 and 255 of the 2024 Land Law,” the Department of Planning and Investment of Quang Nam province reported to the Provincial People's Committee on December 24, 2024.
