Speaking at the working session, Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh emphasized that culture has always been an area that the Party has paid special attention to; through the issuance of many Resolutions on culture; clearly demonstrating the viewpoints and guidelines of our Party through the Congresses. Along with that, specialized Resolutions of the Politburo , Secretariat, and Central Committee were also issued.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that in the context of the country entering a new development stage and the international situation having many fluctuations, building a new Resolution on cultural development is extremely necessary and urgent.
The Resolution on Revival and Development of Vietnamese Culture in the New Era was built to create a breakthrough in cultural development.
According to Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh, with the urgent implementation time under the direction of the Politburo but still having to ensure high quality, the drafting of the Resolution requires a new approach and thinking.
Along with that, this Resolution must focus on breakthrough solutions on perfecting institutions; developing the cultural environment and cultural industry; improving people's cultural enjoyment and creativity; integrating internationally in culture while still firmly maintaining national cultural identity, selectively absorbing the quintessence of human culture...
In particular, the Resolution must have correct and accurate solutions, with a breakthrough nature to develop culture; meet the expectations of leaders at all levels and people and penetrate deeply into life; continue to raise awareness of the importance of cultural development in the cause of sustainable national development and strongly transform this thinking into action.
Providing more information about the process of drafting the Resolution, Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh said that recently, immediately after the policy was issued and the Politburo assigned the task, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism presided over and coordinated with relevant agencies to develop the outline and draft of the Resolution.
Along with that, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized meetings of the Drafting Committee, Editorial Team, discussions, and collected opinions from Central and local Committees, Ministries, branches, experts, and managers to study, absorb opinions, and complete the draft.
“As the standing drafting agency, through this working session, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism hopes to continue receiving comments from representatives of central agencies so that the draft can be completed soon and meet the requirements,” said Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh.
With enthusiasm, responsibility and concerns for the development of the country's culture, the Deputy Minister believes that the delegates will give valuable and accurate opinions, contributing to the completion of the draft Resolution.
At the meeting, delegates gave their opinions on the draft Resolution. In particular, delegates emphasized that the Resolution must be closely linked to the current context.
The resolution must set out key tasks, ideas and breakthrough solutions to promote cultural development in the current period; and be approached with a new spirit and thinking.
The resolution's content also needs to affirm the remarkable achievements that the cultural sector has achieved in recent times.
