Ms. Andrea Sühl, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ho Chi Minh City, said: The project “German Career Coach” was launched on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Germany and Vietnam. The project is sponsored by the German Embassy in Hanoi and the German Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, the German Organization for International Cooperation (GIZ), the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (AHK Vietnam).
The “German Career Coach” departs from Hanoi and travels through 20 provinces and cities across the country before ending its journey in Ho Chi Minh City. At each stop, the “German Career Coach” provides students with information on career and training opportunities in Germany, safe and legal pathways to study and work in Germany; language and cultural preparation programs as well as vocational and university education programs in Vietnam according to German standards. The project aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of labor migration and expand access to the international labor market for young people in Vietnam.
Speaking at the event, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep, Vice Chairwoman of Can Tho City People's Committee, said that over the years, the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany has been continuously strengthened and developed strongly in many fields such as economy, education, culture and vocational training. The Federal Republic of Germany is a reliable partner and has made many positive contributions to the sustainable development of Vietnam in general and Can Tho City in particular.
The event “Germany Career Coach Tour” is a vivid demonstration of that spirit of cooperation. This is not only a communication activity about Germany’s advanced vocational education system, but also opens up many opportunities for Vietnamese youth, especially students in the Mekong Delta region, to access quality vocational training programs that are highly practical and in line with global economic development trends.
Can Tho City commits to creating all favorable conditions to enhance cooperation with German partners in the field of education and training, especially vocational training and technology transfer; contributing to improving the quality of human resources, serving the socio-economic development of the city and the Mekong Delta region.
Here, students from inside and outside Can Tho city are consulted and learn about ways to study and work in Germany; meet directly with educational institutions, participate in career fairs, and listen to the sharing of former students. In addition to consulting activities, "German Career Tour" also offers unique cultural experiences, bringing German culture closer to the Vietnamese people.
