In 1990, after graduating with a degree in education, Ms. Nguyet returned to her hometown to teach. In 2004, she was elected as the President of the An Luu Primary School Union.
With 34 years of teaching experience, she is the school’s core in nurturing excellent students. She has also been awarded the title of excellent teacher at the provincial level many times. Despite being busy with her professional work, Ms. Nguyet still excels in her role as union president.
Ms. Nguyet has created useful playgrounds for staff and teachers such as art clubs, folk dance clubs, and volleyball clubs, attracting many teachers to participate. In competitions and art and sports exchanges organized by the education sector and trade unions at all levels, Ms. Nguyet plays a key role.
Promoting the role of a protector of workers' rights, Ms. Nguyet regularly cares for and grasps the thoughts and aspirations of staff, teachers and workers to propose to the school board to promptly resolve problems and difficulties in teaching as well as in life. The school's union regularly cares for and takes good care of union members on holidays, Tet, birthdays, etc.
Ms. Nguyet shared: “Whatever you do, you must put responsibility and heart first. In professional activities or in charge of the union, I always try to fulfill both “roles”.
The encouragement and sharing from the school board and colleagues have helped Ms. Nguyet have more motivation, joy, happiness with her job, and enthusiasm for the union movement. Not only taking care of school work, Ms. Nguyet is also an exemplary daughter-in-law, wife, and mother. Her two children are both obedient and good at studying.
With her contributions to professional activities and trade union work, for many consecutive years, Ms. Nguyet has been awarded the title of grassroots emulation fighter and received a certificate of merit from the Chairman of Kinh Mon Town People's Committee. She was also commended for her outstanding achievements in implementing the Program "1 million initiatives - efforts to overcome difficulties, creativity, determination to defeat the Covid-19 pandemic".
In the 2021-2022 school year, she won first prize at the provincial level in the photo contest "Beauty of Trade Unions and Workers" organized by the Hai Duong Provincial Federation of Labor and received certificates of merit from the Provincial Federation of Labor for many consecutive years. In 2024, the Provincial Federation of Labor awarded Ms. Nguyet the title of outstanding grassroots trade union president.
Mr. Nguyen Van Huan, Chairman of Kinh Mon Town Labor Federation, said that Ms. Nguyet is the chairwoman of the grassroots union and has made many positive contributions to the school union. Thanks to her, the union movement in the school is more vibrant.
