At the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man expressed his pleasure to visit and work with Petronas Malaysia Group during his first visit to Malaysia.

The National Assembly Chairman stated that over the past time, the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Malaysia has been continuously consolidated and developed deeply, achieving important achievements on both bilateral and multilateral levels. In particular, energy and oil and gas cooperation is an important pillar. Petronas Malaysia has implemented many joint projects with the Vietnam National Energy Industry Group. The two sides are also expanding cooperation to new areas such as liquefied natural gas (LNG) and renewable energy.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man acknowledged and appreciated Petronas' positive contributions over the years to Vietnam's energy security as well as to the overall development of Vietnam-Malaysia relations.

Believing that there is still a lot of potential and room for cooperation between the two sides in the context of countries making efforts to implement energy transition and ensure energy security, the National Assembly Chairman hopes that Petronas Malaysia will continue to cooperate with Vietnam in accordance with the needs and capabilities of both sides in the short and long term, contributing to ensuring a stable and long-term gas supply; promoting cooperation in green energy, renewable energy, hydrogen, carbon capture and storage, in accordance with the commitment to net zero emissions of both countries...

The National Assembly Chairman also requested Petronas Malaysia to continue to closely coordinate with the Vietnam National Energy Industry Group to effectively implement the committed contents, ensure progress, safety, and compliance with the laws of Vietnam and Malaysia, and specifically evaluate new generation energy projects to be put into commercial operation in 2025; support training programs, technology transfer and human resource development, so that each cooperation project not only brings economic value but also fosters friendship and builds sustainable cooperation for the future.

Leaders of Petronas Malaysia warmly welcomed National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, his wife and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to attend the 46th AIPA General Assembly and visit Malaysia; expressed their honor to welcome the National Assembly Chairman, his wife and the delegation to visit Petronas Twin Tower.

Petronas Malaysia leaders said that Petronas Malaysia has had a long-term and effective cooperation with the Vietnam National Energy Industry Group and the Vietnamese Government over the years; and hopes to continue effective cooperation and increase its presence in Vietnam in the coming time.

Assessing that the cooperation between the two countries in the field of renewable energy is being actively implemented, the leaders of Petronas Malaysia hope to soon realize the vision of the leaders of the two countries in this field, which is also a very good field to demonstrate the close cooperation between the two countries. The leaders of Petronas Malaysia Group also wish to cooperate closely with Vietnam in carbon capture and storage...

On this occasion, the leaders of Petronas Group Malaysia introduced to National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, his wife and the delegation about Petronas Twin Tower. The famous tower of Malaysia was built according to the idea of Islamic architecture combined with modern beauty, including 88 floors. The two towers are connected by an overhead bridge called Skybridge, 170m high and 158m long, connected at the 41st and 42nd floors. Standing on the Skybridge, you can see the entire beautiful scenery of the capital Kuala Lumpur from above.
