Announcing the plan to preserve and restore historical relics

On the afternoon of July 10, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced Decision No. 165/QD-UBND, dated January 10, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee on "Approving the Plan for conservation and restoration of the historical and cultural relic of Lung Nhai Oath Festival and related relics associated with tourism development in Ngoc Phung commune, Thuong Xuan district, Thanh Hoa province".

Overview of the announcement ceremony.

Accordingly, the Planning for the conservation and restoration of the historical and cultural relics of Lung Nhai Oath Site and related relics associated with tourism development (referred to as the relic planning) has a scale of 73.43 hectares. Of which, the area of ​​the protection area (I and II) of the Lung Nhai Oath Site relic is 30.12 hectares; the proposed area for the additional protection area (I and II) of Phung Duong Temple and Muong tomb area is 1.9 hectares; the area for promoting the value of the relic associated with the development of historical - cultural - ecological tourism is 41.41 hectares.

The relic planning is divided into 2 areas: The relic area and the relic value promotion area. In which, the relic value promotion area at the Lung Nhai Oath site will include a number of functional sub-areas such as the relic reception - service area (arranging parking lots, service houses, public restrooms, management - reception houses; works with scales suitable to the relic space, local ethnic architecture); the ecological reception - service area (serving the seven-storey waterfall ecological landscape area, including works serving cable cars, tourism services); seven-storey waterfall and forest eco-tourism (maintaining the valuable green tree system, planting additional local trees to create scenery along the sightseeing route...); homestay accommodation area (Muong and Thai ethnic houses, with modern equipment to serve the resting needs of tourists)...

Regarding the orientation of promoting the value of relics associated with tourism development, we will focus on developing a number of tourism products such as culture - history, ecology, and community.

At the same time, two tourist routes were formed, including: Thematic tourist route (linked with Lam Kinh relic site to form a thematic tourist chain about the Lam Son uprising); inter-district tourist route (Xuan Lien Nature Reserve, hydroelectric lake, Cam Ba Thuoc temple, Ba Chua Thuong Ngan temple... and traditional festivals).

Representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism handed over planning documents to Thuong Xuan district and the consulting unit.

Approving the Plan for conservation and restoration of the historical and cultural relics of Lung Nhai Oath Festival and related relics associated with tourism development aims to preserve, restore and promote the value of the historical and cultural relics of Lung Nhai Oath Festival and local culture; honor the great contributions of Lam Son insurgents...

Along with that, contributing to effectively exploiting tourism potentials, creating a tourist destination for Thuong Xuan district, contributing to shifting the economic structure, improving the lives of local people.

This is also the basis for the district to build a list of projects calling for investment and preserving relics, soon turning this place into an attractive tourist destination of the province.

In particular, the planning will help localities establish relationships with tourist attractions in the region, creating mutual relationships to develop sustainable tourism in the future.
