The first meeting of the Steering Committee for External Information Work of Lam Dong Province

On the morning of August 6, the Steering Committee for External Information Affairs of Lam Dong province held a meeting to deploy a number of tasks within its authority. This was the first meeting of the Steering Committee after the decision to establish it.

Comrade Dang Hong Sy, Deputy Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee chaired the conference. Comrades: Vo Thanh Binh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Nguyen Minh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and members of the Steering Committee attended the conference.

At the Conference, the Steering Committee approved a decision regulating the functions, tasks, powers, principles, working regime, and working relations of the Lam Dong Provincial External Information Steering Committee as well as assigning specific tasks to each member.

Accordingly, the Steering Committee for External Information of Lam Dong province consists of 12 members. Comrade Dang Hong Sy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, is the Head of the Steering Committee and 2 Deputy Heads of the Committee include Comrade Vo Thanh Binh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee and Comrade Nguyen Minh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

The Provincial Steering Committee for External Information has the function of advising and proposing to the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee to decide on policies, tasks, and solutions for external information activities of Lam Dong province in each period; directing, orienting, urging, inspecting, supervising, summarizing, and concluding the implementation of external information tasks; building a coordination mechanism and providing information on external information activities of Party and State agencies and people's organizations.

At the same time, preside over, coordinate training, guide and organize training and fostering of forces working in foreign information; deploy activities in the province according to the direction and guidance of the Central Steering Committee for Foreign Information Work.

Comrade Dang Hong Sy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for External Information Work of Lam Dong province concluded the meeting.

In addition, the Steering Committee has the right to request and guide localities, agencies and units to perform foreign information tasks; report on leadership, direction and the situation and results of performing foreign information tasks.
