According to information from the Ministry of Health , the total number of inpatients admitted for treatment during these three days was 24,969 cases, of which 2,294 patients had to be transferred to other hospitals.

On January 27, hospitals recorded 21 emergency cases due to firecrackers. Of these, 10 people were hospitalized due to firecrackers or fireworks, while 6 others were related to homemade weapons and explosives, but only 2 cases required hospitalization.
In total, during the first three days of the Tet holiday, medical facilities received 63 emergency cases caused by firecrackers, along with 16 accidents caused by homemade weapons and explosives.
Although the number of emergency cases due to firecrackers increased, fortunately no deaths were recorded during the first three days of Tet holiday.
In addition to emergency cases caused by firecrackers, hospitals also receive a large number of patients due to traffic accidents and digestive disorders.
Specifically, during the first three days of Tet holiday, there were 12,557 cases of medical examination and emergency due to traffic accidents, of which 3,823 patients had to be hospitalized, 979 cases were transferred to higher levels. The total number of deaths related to traffic accidents during Tet was 66, including those who died before arriving at the hospital and those who asked to go home.
In addition, hospitals also recorded 80 cases of digestive disorders, poisoning from homemade food and alcohol/beer intoxication, of which 52 patients had to be hospitalized for monitoring and treatment. However, no deaths due to food poisoning during Tet have been recorded.
Despite the large number of patients admitted to emergency rooms, hospitals across the country brought joy to families by welcoming 2,197 babies during the three-day Tet holiday. At the same time, 24,615 patients were cured and discharged, returning home to celebrate Tet with their families.
During the first three days of the Tet holiday, medical facilities examined and provided emergency care to 728,836 patients, performed 11,262 surgeries, and cured 139,552 patients. Currently, 129,596 patients are still undergoing treatment.
During Tet, with the increase in accidents and acute illnesses, doctors and nurses have been trying their best to take care of people's health, helping them overcome difficulties and welcome a peaceful and happy new year.
