On August 28, Dong A University (Da Nang) announced the opening of training programs for Medical Doctors and Bachelors of Rehabilitation Engineering.
From this school year, the school officially trains in Medicine and Rehabilitation Engineering along with other leading majors such as Nursing, Midwifery, Pharmacy, and Nutrition.
Director of the Department of Health of Da Nang City Tran Thanh Thuy said that the School opened the training code for general practitioners and bachelors of rehabilitation to meet the human resource requirements in medical examination, treatment, and health care for the people of Da Nang, the Central region and the Central Highlands.
The school will train quality general practitioners and rehabilitation bachelors to provide future medical staff with professional qualifications; meeting the medical needs of the entire Central and Central Highlands regions.
At the program, Dong A University, Hospital 199 - Ministry of Public Security (Da Nang) and Quang Nam Northern Mountainous Region General Hospital signed a cooperation agreement on medical training.
Medical students of Dong A University will practice in specialized departments under the guidance and regular evaluation of doctors at the practice facility according to a specific roadmap.
Students practice at the Laboratory Center and the Preclinical Simulation Center (standard, advanced facilities for basic medicine and medical skills), before participating in internships and practice on patients at hospitals.
Mr. Luong Minh Sam, Chairman of the Board of Dong A University, said that along with perfecting the combined school-institution training model, Dong A University also promotes comprehensive cooperation with Kameda Social Medical Group (Japan) to implement the Japanese-standard international general clinic project in Da Nang in the near future.
Universities and hospitals from Japan, Korea, etc. will send medical experts to teach at Dong A University. Medical students will have the opportunity to practice at advanced medical facilities in neighboring countries.
The school is continuing to prepare all necessary conditions to open other training majors in the Health Sciences sector, such as Dentistry, Bachelor of Medical Technology, Public Health or Traditional Medicine... in the coming years.
The medical doctor training program at the school is structured for 6 years, carefully researched and updated with medical advances in the world, highly applicable, equipping students with good expertise, high clinical skills, and the ability to work in multinational environments.
The program is also compared with national and international standard programs, aiming at knowledge connection after graduating from University (Medical Doctor level 7), continuing training for practice certificates, postgraduate training in 2 directions: practice (Specialist 1, Specialty 2), residency and academic (PhD students).
The school invests in and operates a system of nearly 20 standardized practice laboratories along with a modern preclinical simulation center and a network of clinical practice facilities at units with advanced specialized techniques./.
In 2024, Hanoi Medical University will open three new majors, notably Psychology, with 60 admission quotas, according to three exam blocks B, C, D01, each block with 20 quotas.
