Da Nang welcomes the first AI-Ready data center project in Vietnam

On August 28, global telecommunications and infrastructure group IPTP Networks officially launched the AIDC DeCenter Data Center project at Da Nang High-Tech Park.

This is one of the first AI-Ready data centers in Vietnam, designed according to Tier 3+/Tier 4 Uptime standards, aiming to become a core infrastructure platform for high performance computing (HPC), AI, blockchain and cloud computing services.

The project is co-founded and operated by global infrastructure group IPTP Networks. AIDC DeCenter has a scale of ^10,000m2 (2 floors), capacity of 1,000 racks and minimum capacity of 10MW. Total investment capital is 200 million USD, of which phase 1 is 20 million USD.

The center aims for international certifications such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS... and ensures uptime ≥99.982%.

Mr. Vladimir Kangin, CEO of IPTP Networks said: "AIDC DeCenter is not only a data center, but also the first international digital infrastructure ecosystem based in Vietnam. We hope this place will become a new technology gateway for Southeast Asia, helping Vietnam seize the opportunity to rise strongly in the global infrastructure race."

Mr. Tran Chi Cuong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, said that the project is expected to start construction in the fourth quarter of 2025 and officially operate from the fourth quarter of 2027. The successful attraction of the project is a testament to the strong development and reliable destination of investors in Da Nang, a high-tech center of the Central Highlands region.

“The project promotes the development of information technology infrastructure, supports stable operation of cloud computing, AI, and Internet of Things systems, creating a foundation for agencies and businesses to deploy digital solutions, optimize operations, and improve productivity. In addition, the project helps increase budget revenue, develop ancillary services, and enhance the local position on the global technology map. This is a strategic driving force for sustainable economic growth and national modernization,” said Mr. Tran Chi Cuong.

On this occasion, at the launching ceremony, a strategic cooperation signing ceremony also took place between DeCenter and a number of units.
