Da Nang: Many practical and humane programs for people during Tet

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, Da Nang continues to affirm the spirit of "no one is left behind" through many practical and humane programs.

For policy beneficiaries and disadvantaged people, the total budget for taking care of the Lunar New Year 2025 is more than 126 billion VND. Of which, the budget source from Da Nang city is more than 108.4 billion VND, the budget source from the Central Government is more than 7.4 billion VND and the source from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Da Nang city is more than 10.2 billion VND. In addition, the city will support an increase in the gift level (in cash) by 500,000 VND.

In addition, Da Nang will support a gift (in cash) of 1 million VND for workers, civil servants, and laborers in difficult circumstances, who have had work accidents, natural disasters, serious illnesses, and laborers who cannot return home for Tet. At the same time, support members of the Veterans Association who have serious illnesses and are in difficult circumstances; members of the Thai Phien Club who are often sick; and give gifts to Truong Sa soldiers. Directly visit and give gifts to 50 units and localities, and assign departments and branches to visit and give gifts to 33 social protection facilities and mass organizations.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang city will give Tet gifts to ethnic minority households in the three communes of Hoa Bac, Hoa Phu, and Hoa Ninh (Hoa Vang district) according to Resolution No. 275/2019/NQ-HDND. In addition, it will support gifts (in cash) of VND 500,000 from the city budget and gifts in kind of VND 200,000 from the "For the Poor" Fund for the three communes of Hoa Bac, Hoa Phu, and Hoa Ninh.

This year, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang city will support gifts (in cash) of 500,000 VND from the "For the Poor" Fund for near-poor households, households in especially difficult circumstances, households in especially difficult circumstances and 100 gifts/organization for members in difficult circumstances of 9 member organizations. Regarding the support of Tet gifts at the central level, it will be implemented with 2 expected levels of 600,000 VND and 300,000 VND.

The Da Nang City Labor Federation also organized the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng" with many activities: 2025 Trade Union Tet Market; Trade Union Bus; Trade Union Train,... to take care of Tet for union members and workers in difficult circumstances. In particular, at the 2025 Trade Union Tet Market, the City Labor Federation will distribute 40,000 shopping vouchers (100,000 VND/voucher) to union members and workers in the city.

Providing Tet gifts to 20,000 union members and workers in difficult circumstances, those who have had work accidents, occupational diseases, serious illnesses, natural disasters, storms and floods, lost their jobs, had their working hours reduced... (1 million VND/case).

With the Union Tet Journey Program, the City Labor Federation supports 2,000 train and bus tickets and organizes free buses to take union members, workers and their families home to celebrate the traditional Tet. The buses will depart from Da Nang to the following provinces: Quang Tri, Quang Binh , Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Kon Tum, Dak Lak, Gia Lai...

The Da Nang City Labor Federation will visit, encourage, and give gifts to 1,000 workers who do not return home for Tet, workers in difficult circumstances at self-managed worker groups in boarding houses; workers at the Hoa Cam Industrial Park Workers' Housing; and single women.

Joining hands with the whole country for the poor, leaving no one behind, the activities to care for the Lunar New Year 2025 for the lives of people in difficult circumstances in Da Nang not only celebrate a warm and joyful traditional New Year but also demonstrate the spirit of solidarity, responsibility and humanity.
