During the National Day holiday on September 2, customs clearance activities for import and export of goods, especially agricultural products and fresh fruits through border gates in Lang Son province, were bustling.

In order to best serve businesses and ensure safe and stable immigration and import-export activities, the authorities at the border gates in Lang Son have proactively developed plans, arranged staff on duty and worked continuously.

At the Huu Nghi international border gate area, the number of vehicles entering and leaving and parking each day is up to nearly 2,000 vehicles; of which there are about 600 Chinese vehicles; the number of drivers, cargo owners, businesses and passengers entering and exiting here each day is also up to about 6,000 people.

To ensure security, order, ventilation, cleanliness and civilization at the border gate, the Border Guard force has proactively developed plans and assigned officers and soldiers to guide, regulate and scientifically divide people and vehicles for the best circulation across the border.

Major Tran Van Hung - Deputy Head of the Huu Nghi International Border Gate Border Guard Station, Lang Son Province said that the main imported goods through Huu Nghi International Border Gate are electronic components, machinery, household appliances, new cars; while the exported goods are fresh fruits, agricultural products, components, etc.

During the holidays, the unit has arranged forces and people at key locations in the border gate, avoiding congestion. For immigration activities, the unit has arranged enough human resources as well as machinery to handle immigration procedures quickly and accurately...

Currently, at the border gate area of ​​Lang Son province, especially Huu Nghi international border gate and Tan Thanh border gate, the functional forces work from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. every day; some units work until 10:00 p.m. To meet the assigned tasks, the functional forces here always have to proactively develop work plans early.

In particular, to ensure improved customs clearance efficiency for import and export goods through Huu Nghi International Border Gate, the Border Gate Management Center (Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone Management Board) and functional forces at the border gate discuss with Chinese functional forces every day to increase working hours by 2 hours.

Mr. La Ngoc Hieu, TA Lang Son Import Export Company Limited, said that during the holidays, the company's import and export activities are still carried out normally. Functional forces at the border gate such as border guards, customs, and quarantine are still working, creating favorable conditions for businesses.

According to Deputy Head of the Huu Nghi Border Gate Customs Branch, Phung Van Ba, import and export activities through the Huu Nghi International Border Gate are still taking place normally. To meet the needs and serve businesses, the customs authority has assigned shifts and shifts to ensure control and maximum convenience in customs clearance of goods.

Huu Nghi International Border Gate and Tan Thanh Border Gate are Lang Son's main border gates for import and export of goods, especially fruits, fresh fruits and agricultural products. According to the border authorities, Lang Son currently has 1,200 - 1,300 import and export vehicles every day; of which nearly 80% of the export goods are agricultural products and fresh fruits.

With the motto of working until the job is done, not until the end of the working day, the extension of customs clearance time, working overtime, on holidays and weekends by Lang Son authorities has helped to ensure the best customs clearance and import and export of goods through the border gate, ensuring smooth border traffic.
