Posting an ad saying he knows how to cook and raise cats, a guy finds his ideal lover

The 28-year-old man told the Washington Post that he was tired of constantly swiping his phone screen to reject unsuitable candidates on dating apps.

"Dating apps don't really help users express their personalities and find suitable lovers. Especially for those who are not attractive like me," David said.

David is not the first person to try this daring method of finding a lover.

Earlier this year, an elderly bachelor in Texas rented a billboard for a similar purpose. In San Francisco, singles looking for love have been handing out flyers about themselves around town.

Thanks to his creative introduction, David was able to connect with many people, including Tara. The 26-year-old was so impressed by David's billboard that she sent him her phone number via Instagram.

"I love being able to interact with people face-to-face like I did before dating apps and messaging. It's like I'm looking for a partner like my parents were, it's awesome," Tara said.

Despite receiving many positive responses, David also encountered many malicious comments from netizens. The 28-year-old man plans to remove the billboard because he has "met a relationship" with Tara.

"She is a kind person and has a good sense of humor. Honestly, she is the ideal love interest," he said.

Tara said she arrived early for their first date, but David was already there. They both had a good time after the date and planned to meet again for a comedy show.
