On the morning of June 7, Hong Duc University organized a scientific workshop on "Training human resources in the semiconductor industry to serve the socio -economic development of Thanh Hoa province until 2030, with a vision to 2045". According to Associate Professor Dr. Bui Van Dung, Rector of Hong Duc University, this scientific conference aims to consult with managers, experts, and scientists on the Draft Project "Training human resources for the semiconductor industry to serve the socio-economic development of Thanh Hoa province until 2030, with a vision to 2045".

The draft project was developed by Hong Duc University in the spirit of direction of Thanh Hoa province according to Conclusion No. 2709-KL/TU dated April 5, 2024 of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee on the implementation of socio-economic development, national defense - security, Party building and political system tasks in the first quarter; key tasks in the second quarter of 2024 as well as Official Dispatch No. 5853/UBND-THKH dated April 26, 2024 of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee on focusing on implementing Conclusion No. 2709-KL/TU of the Provincial Party Committee.

With that meaning, at the workshop, after listening to Associate Professor Dr. Dau Ba Thin, Vice Rector of Hong Duc University, reporting an overview of the draft project, delegates focused on discussing the necessity of developing the Project "Training human resources for the semiconductor industry to serve the socio-economic development of Thanh Hoa province until 2030, with a vision to 2045"; viewpoints, goals, tasks and main solutions for training human resources for the semiconductor industry.
Associate Professor Dr. Dau Ba Thin, Vice Principal of Hong Duc University, reported an overview of the draft project.
Former Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, former Chairman of the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education Nguyen Dinh Buu spoke at the workshop.
Delegates also contributed many ideas to complete the draft project, emphasizing the specific goals set forth by the project; the issue of choosing to open a training major in the semiconductor industry; investment in infrastructure, mechanisms, and policies for training human resources in the semiconductor industry; training roadmap... At the same time, it was stated that: The semiconductor industry plays a very important role and is the foundation of three revolutionary transformations: Digital transformation, green transformation, and smart transformation.

In the current context, the semiconductor industry is tending to diversify, shifting the chain of links, production supply and research to a number of new countries, including Vietnam. This is an opportunity as well as a challenge that requires infrastructure, institutions and especially appropriate human resources to meet the development requirements and attract investment in the semiconductor industry. Therefore, the development and implementation of the Project "Training human resources for the semiconductor industry to serve the socio-economic development of Thanh Hoa province until 2030, with a vision to 2045" is extremely necessary in the current period.
