In the 2021-2025 period of building a new rural area, Dong Nai continues to focus on investing in developing synchronous and modern rural infrastructure associated with the development of high-quality agricultural zones, large-scale crop cultivation areas and livestock farming areas with modern techniques.

Impressive results

In the construction of new rural areas, localities in the province prioritize investment in rural transport infrastructure, electricity, water for daily life and production. In addition, educational and medical facilities are also invested in and upgraded, contributing to improving the quality of life of the people.

In the process of building new rural areas, Dong Nai province always pays attention to investing in developing remote areas, disadvantaged ethnic minority areas, contributing to changing the face of rural areas, gradually narrowing the gap between urban and rural areas.

The border commune of Bu Gia Map embarked on building a new rural area with a low starting point and many difficulties, with a sparse population density, a population mainly of ethnic minorities, and a large area. During the 2020-2025 term, the commune has arranged to build 82 items and works with a total capital of more than 83.7 billion VND, contributing to the completion of infrastructure, meeting the needs of the people in all fields. Thanks to this investment, the rate of households using electricity reached 98%. Waste is collected centrally, cemeteries are planned according to regulations...

In particular, the commune has mobilized well the capital contributed by the people. From 2021 to now, the whole commune has invested in 16km of electric lighting lines contributed by the people; the people also contributed more than 2 billion VND to asphalt rural traffic routes according to special mechanisms; repair and upgrade damaged rural traffic routes. In addition, other criteria on investment in irrigation, electricity, residential housing, education, health care, culture... are all met.

Xuan Loc is a leading locality in building advanced and exemplary new rural areas in the province. The impressive results achieved are thanks to the fact that right from the beginning of building new rural areas, the commune clearly identified and chose agricultural production development as a breakthrough. In particular, the important condition is to focus on synchronously building economic - cultural - social infrastructure; prioritizing investment in low-voltage electricity for production areas, upgrading irrigation systems, asphalting inter-commune roads, commune axes...

In the 2019-2024 period alone, the total local resources mobilized for investment in the New Rural Development Program reached tens of thousands of billions of VND from the budget; capital sources calling for investment from enterprises, capital sources mobilized from the community... Thanks to that, the transport, urban and service infrastructure has made a breakthrough development. The rural transport system has received investment attention, especially the routes connecting communes, all the way to hamlets and concentrated production areas. Works serving production such as: intra-field transport, rural electricity, irrigation canals, dams... have also received synchronous investment.

According to Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Van Thang, in the period of 2021-2025, agricultural production in the province has developed well, and the construction of new rural areas has achieved outstanding results. The structure of the agricultural sector has shifted in the right direction, promoting the development of clean agriculture, organic agriculture, and high-tech agriculture. The province ranks first in the country in the number of communes meeting model new rural standards, second in the number of communes meeting advanced new rural standards, and has completed the pilot project of building Xuan Loc district to meet model new rural standards. Up to now, the average of the whole province has reached 18.66 criteria/commune. In particular, investment in rural transport infrastructure, irrigation, and electricity for daily life and production has many impressive achievements.

Investment in infrastructure continues to be a breakthrough

The Draft Political Report of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee presented to the 1st Congress of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030 (8th term) has proposed solutions for agricultural production to develop and build new rural areas to continue to achieve outstanding results. In particular, promoting the restructuring of the agricultural sector; developing high-quality agricultural zones, large-scale crop and livestock areas with modern techniques; developing rural industries, developing specialized areas. This is the basis for forming smart agricultural production; building the province into a center for preserving and processing agricultural products, a center for plant varieties of the Southeast and Central Highlands regions. In particular, promoting investment in infrastructure continues to be a breakthrough.

Vice Chairman of Tan Loi Commune People's Committee (Dong Nai Province) Le Cam Tu said: Tan Loi Commune is the gateway between the two old provinces of Binh Phuoc and Dong Nai with many advantages in attracting concentrated livestock development. The orientation of the commune in the coming time is to develop large-scale livestock farms, applying high technology. Therefore, we hope that the Provincial People's Committee and departments and branches will give policies and orientations for land use development of the commune; pay attention to budget allocation, create favorable conditions for localities in land use planning; especially prioritize investment in electricity and traffic infrastructure to attract investors.

In the coming time, localities in the province will continue to vigorously implement the New Rural Development Program, sustainable poverty reduction and elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses. The Department of Agriculture and Environment needs to closely coordinate with the Central New Rural Coordination Office to proactively develop a plan to implement the New Rural Development Program in the coming period. In particular, strive to increase the rate of rural households using clean water to 79%, of which water from centralized works reaches at least 43%. These are key criteria, directly linked to the quality of life of the people.

Member of Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang

Sharing the same view, Chairwoman of Tri An Commune People's Committee (Dong Nai Province) Nguyen Thi Dung said: The commune has advantages in developing agricultural tourism and eco-tourism. Recommend that the Provincial People's Committee pay attention to investing in transport infrastructure, especially key projects such as: Ma Da Bridge, Provincial Road 761, Provincial Road 742... In addition, hope to receive support from the Provincial People's Committee in connecting and calling for investors in the fields of processing and deep processing of agricultural products associated with tourism development.
