(Dan Tri) - The Ministry of Education and Training requested localities to direct the education sector to develop assessment and admission tests in accordance with the new general education program.
The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) has just sent an official dispatch to provinces and cities to strengthen state management of education and improve the quality of general education.
Accordingly, the Ministry requested localities to direct the education sector to thoroughly grasp general education institutions in the area to continue to synchronously implement solutions to deploy the 2018 general education program to ensure quality.
In particular, the Ministry of Education and Training stated: the creation of test questions, regular and periodic assessments, admission of students at the beginning of primary school (primary, secondary school) and entrance exams for grade 10 of high school must be in accordance with the requirements of the 2018 General Education Program, and must not put pressure on students to take extra classes.

Along with the above requirements, the Ministry recommends that general education institutions in the area absolutely not loosen the organization of review and training for students with unsatisfactory learning results; organize for final year students to strengthen review for entrance exams and graduation exams.
Schools need to identify this as the school's responsibility to help students meet the requirements for each subject of each grade level according to the regulations of the 2018 General Education Program.
The Ministry also proposed that, according to local conditions, the Provincial People's Committee should direct appropriate support for extra teaching fees for educational institutions to organize review and training for students, contributing to improving the quality of education.
In particular, the subjects that need special attention are students with learning difficulties, final year students, disadvantaged groups, students from difficult family circumstances, students from ethnic minority and mountainous areas, and areas with especially difficult socio-economic conditions.
Also in this dispatch, the Ministry requested provinces and cities to strengthen the direction of secondary and high school enrollment and the management of extra teaching and learning activities.
Provinces need to issue regulations and guidelines on extra teaching, extra learning, and primary school enrollment in their areas according to their authority, ensuring compliance with local realities and current regulations. Strengthen inspection and examination of implementation to promptly detect, correct, and have appropriate solutions in places facing difficulties during implementation.
