"This year, the subjects of literature, foreign language, and math are all easy for candidates, so the standard scores for schools will definitely increase. I predict that my total score for the three subjects will be 22.5. I set my first choice at Saigon Practical High School and hope to achieve my goal," CT said.

Meanwhile, candidate Luu Di Cam, a student at Colette Secondary School, commented that this year's exam was not difficult, and did not have many questions that puzzled candidates like in previous years.

"Question 7 will take the most time in this year's 10th grade math exam. I think question 7 is a practical math problem that requires candidates to think a little more. Option C of question 8 will be to classify candidates, many students cannot do option C," Di Cam shared.

Meanwhile, candidate Nguyen Jules An, a student at Colette Secondary School, who wishes to enroll in the bilingual program at Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, District 5, said he is confident in all three exams: math, literature, and French.

"The math test was quite easy, with many practical questions. There weren't many questions that would challenge the candidates. Question 7, if you first read it, might seem difficult. There were some surprises in the question, but if you analyze it carefully, you'll be able to find the answer. I hope I can get 9 points with today's test," said Nguyen Jules An.

This male student said that this was the last exam in the 10th grade exam, so in general he was less worried. "However, while the exam was easy, candidates had another worry: the benchmark score would increase, and the benchmark score would definitely be higher than every year," the male student shared.

Candidates happily finished the 10th grade entrance exam in 2023 with 3 exam questions that were not difficult.

Commenting on the math exam for grade 10 in Ho Chi Minh City this year, Ms. My Duyen, an education expert at Gia su eTeacher, said: "This year's math exam, specifically the practical questions, does not pose many puzzles. This is a common type of math in the group of comprehension questions, combining the application of learned formulas to solve the problem. However, if you analyze carefully and calmly do it step by step, you will be able to solve it because this type is no longer too unfamiliar to many students."

Candidates are happy after doing well in the math exam at the exam site of Trung Vuong High School.

"Question C, question 8 is always an advanced math question to differentiate good candidates. To do question 8C, in addition to the general knowledge of almost the entire secondary school level, the prerequisite to ensure that this question is completed well is the candidate's test-taking speed. Therefore, it is not surprising that many candidates share that this question is the difficult part of the exam," said Ms. My Duyen.
