Proposal to spend nearly 507 billion VND to give gifts to meritorious people on the occasion of Tet 2025

On November 5, in document No. 8094, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long authorized the Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to complete the dossier to submit to the President on giving gifts to people with revolutionary contributions on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.

According to the proposal of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs , the recipients and gift levels remain the same as in 2024, which are 600,000 VND and 300,000 VND.

The total budget for giving gifts to people with revolutionary contributions on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025 is nearly 507 billion VND.

Specifically, the gift of 600,000 VND/gift is for people with revolutionary contributions who are in groups receiving monthly preferential allowances, including: People participating in revolutionary activities before January 1, 1945; people participating in revolutionary activities from January 1, 1945 to the August 1945 uprising; Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; People's Armed Forces Heroes, Labor Heroes during the resistance war period.

War invalids, people enjoying the same policies as war invalids, category B war invalids, sick soldiers with a body injury rate of 81% or more; resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals with a body injury rate of 81% or more; people who have contributed to the revolution; relatives of martyrs receiving death benefits; relatives of two or more martyrs receiving death benefits will also receive a gift of 600,000 VND.

The gift level of 300,000 VND/gift is for people with revolutionary contributions who are in groups receiving monthly preferential allowances, including: War invalids, people enjoying policies like war invalids, war invalids of type B, sick soldiers with a body injury rate of 80% or less; war invalids receiving labor loss benefits; resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals with a body injury rate of 80% or less.

The gift of 300,000 VND is also given to revolutionaries, resistance fighters, national defenders, and those performing international duties who were imprisoned or exiled by the enemy; people who helped the revolution; representatives of martyrs' relatives; and people who worship martyrs (in case the martyrs have no relatives).
