On the evening of August 11, Vie Channel Joint Stock Company informed the public that Viet Idea Food and Beverage Company Limited (Starbucks Vietnam) had "illegally used intellectual property owned by Vie Channel".

Vie Channel said it will take the necessary legal steps to protect its legitimate rights.

Specifically, Vie Channel said the company is the legal owner of the following songs - produced by programs invested in and produced by Vie Channel and holds all copyrights: The Fish Hunter (belonging to the program Em xinh say hi); Walk (Anh trai say hi) and Tu xu hii (belonging to the program Rap Viet).

The above songs were used in the Starbucks Concert - Siren Calling event on August 2 at Saigon Riverside Park, Ho Chi Minh City.

Vie Channel's announcement wrote: "However, Vie Channel has not agreed or licensed to use the above songs at this event.

In addition, the use of the song in the above-mentioned event is being reposted by many social media accounts and widely shared on platforms such as TikTok. All of these actions have been documented by Vie Channel, recorded in detail and fully.

According to the provisions of Article 28 of the current Law on Intellectual Property, this is a serious infringement of copyright and related rights, and negatively affects the prestige, reputation and commercial cooperation of Vie Channel with domestic and foreign partners."

Vie Channel said the company has sent an official dispatch and worked directly with Starbucks Vietnam to request correction of the violation but has not received an official response.

Previously, on the evening of August 2, at Saigon River Park, the concert Siren Calling (Starbucks Concert) took place, gathering famous artists including Truc Nhan, HIEUTHUHAI, Chi Pu, Mono, Phap Kieu, DJ VA and MC hype GOKU.

Rapper Phap Kieu sings 4 hit songs: Private Path, Say Bye!, DOC and Love Bow .

Mono brings 3 songs: Em xinh, Cham hoa and Waiting for you. HIEUTHUHAI brings a series of popular hits including Ve sat, Nuoc mat ca troi, NOLOVENOLIFE, Hen gee em bei nang trang and Walk .
