Located in Truong Yen commune, Hoa Lu district, Ninh Binh province, King Dinh Tien Hoang temple is located in the relic complex of the ancient capital Hoa Lu. This is the only place in Vietnam to worship King Dinh Tien Hoang, his parents, his sons and is a place to commemorate the generals of the Dinh dynasty.

The temple was built in the "noi cong ngoai quoc" architectural style (a type of temple with two long corridors connecting the front house with the back house), forming a rectangular frame surrounding the incense burning house and the architectural works in the middle.

Although it has undergone many stages of restoration and preservation, the ancient temple still retains the sculptures and architecture of the Later Le Dynasty with themes such as fairies riding dragons, two dragons facing a bodhi leaf, two dragons facing the moon, dragon nests, dragon lutes... demonstrating the wonderful sculpting talent of ancient folk artisans.

King Dinh Tien Hoang Temple is an important relic in a special protection area, recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site in the Trang An world cultural and natural heritage complex in 2014 and is also a famous spiritual tourist destination in Ninh Binh.

The temple attracts many domestic and foreign tourists to visit and worship every day. The busiest time is usually during the Dinh King Temple Festival on the 8th day of the 3rd lunar month every year. The festival takes place for 3 days, from the 8th to the 10th of March, attracting thousands of visitors.
