Going to the country market, picking fruit in the garden in Cu Chi

The steel land of Cu Chi is in the fruit harvest season.

In order to promote the image, people, and cuisine of Cu Chi land to tourists and introduce typical agricultural products and fruits of Cu Chi district, promote the development of rural tourism, on June 3, 2023, the People's Committee of Cu Chi district will organize the launching ceremony of the tourism program "Fragrant flowers, sweet fruits of the steel land" at the Trung An - Do Thi Nhat intersection, Trung An commune, Cu Chi district (HCMC).

The program will recreate the scene of a rural market, selling products, fruits, preparing dishes made from fruits, typical dishes, cultural activities, arts, folk games... Visitors will be able to check-in at the fruit garden, enjoy fruits, rural market cuisine, and cycle to experience "slow living" in the ecological garden.

The leader of the People's Committee of Cu Chi District said: The Cu Chi tourism promotion program with the theme "Fragrant flowers, sweet fruits of the steel land" is a major program of the locality to promote the development of rural tourism, contributing to the economic restructuring, building sustainable new rural areas, aiming to build Cu Chi district as a green tourism destination, connecting farmers, businesses and tourists to contribute to the effective implementation of the tourism development program in the district.

This is the time when fruits are ripe with Cu Chi specialties including mangosteen, rambutan, longan... Currently, the District People's Committee has coordinated with functional units to design and build check-in points; decorate miniature landscapes, decorate boat docks, flower boats...; arrange areas for trading agricultural products, OCOP products, rural markets, and food courts to be ready to welcome tourists.
