Viewers admire the work with a contemporary feel

In his opening speech, Dr. Vo Quang Phat, Vice Principal in charge of the University of Arts, affirmed that Hue - a land of world cultural heritage, is an ideal setting for domestic and foreign artists to gather and recreate the beauty of heritage through the lens of contemporary art.

The exhibition introduces 80 works with diverse materials and forms, from lacquer, acrylic, sculpture, mixed media... reflecting creativity and the intersection between tradition and modernity.

Notable works include “Remaining Vitality” by Professor Amrit Chusuwan (Thailand), which explores the transformation of art over time; “Intercultural Communication” by Keisuke Kawahara (Japan), which combines traditional metal and plaster; “Greetings for Peace ” by Kim Deuk Jin (Korea), which conveys wishes for peace; “Continuing the Flag-Flying Tradition” by Kongkham Vantheuangs (Laos), which recreates a religious ceremony; or “The Scent of Time” by Vietnamese artist Dang Thi Thu An, which evokes memories of ao dai and the Imperial Citadel of Hue.

At the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded certificates to international artists, guest artists, and sponsors. After the ribbon cutting ceremony, a large number of the public, students and art researchers visited, enjoyed and interacted with the authors.
