The Fulbright Vietnam Visiting Scholar Program 2024 selects outstanding individuals to come to the United States to conduct research and/or teach at universities and colleges.
Applicants for the 2024 Fulbright Vietnam Scholar Program must be Vietnamese citizens; hold a master's or doctoral degree (or equivalent in some specialized fields) and have English proficiency sufficient to conduct research or teach in the United States.
Candidates must also be university lecturers, or officials, specialists of ministries or government agencies, or specialists in the private sector/research institutes/non-governmental organizations.
The Fulbright Vietnam Visiting Scholar Program 2024 is interested in individuals with outstanding achievements in academic research or professional practice. Applicants must reside in Vietnam throughout the application and selection process. The program also requires applicants to return to Vietnam upon completion of their program in the United States.
Suitable research and teaching fields for application are all specialized fields in social sciences and humanities, science and technology.
Applicants are ineligible if they are living, teaching, studying, or conducting research in the United States or have received a Fulbright grant within the past five years; or have come to the United States on a U.S. Government-sponsored exchange visitor (J-1) visa as a professor or research scholar within the past two years.
Notably, regarding the scholarship duration, applicants can choose a scholarship for one semester (equivalent to 5 months) or one academic year (equivalent to 9 months). The deadline for receiving applications is 5:00 p.m., October 17, 2023 (Vietnam time).
