(Dan Tri) - A female teacher in Muong Lat district, Thanh Hoa province was suspended from work for 3 days after cutting off part of a student's bangs.
On March 11, the leader of Quang Chieu Secondary School, Muong Lat District, Thanh Hoa Province said that the unit is making a report to the District Department of Education and Training about the incident of a female teacher cutting a student's hair.
According to the school leader, the incident took place during class on March 5.
According to the explanation, during the lesson, when checking D.'s notebook (grade 7B), Ms. Bui Thi Thu, the civics teacher, discovered that D. did not have her notebook with her. Because she saw that D.'s hair was long, Ms. Thu took scissors from a student in the class and cut off part of her bangs.

Although Ms. Thu had good intentions of wanting to prevent students from having their hair block their vision, this action of hers unintentionally made parents upset and complained to the school.
"Ms. Thu is a contract teacher who has only been teaching for a short time. After the incident, the school's Board of Directors worked with the parents and Ms. Thu apologized to the family. The school also requested a report and suspended Ms. Thu from work for 3 days," said the school leader.
The school leaders also said that the incident was not serious. Perhaps due to Thai customs, which prohibits strangers from cutting their children's hair, the parents reported it to the school.
