Cavalry mobile police parade on Nguyen Hue walking street
On the evening of August 17, the Mobile Police Cavalry paraded on Nguyen Hue walking street (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the People's Public Security's traditional day.
The parade consisted of 40 horses and riot police officers.
The Mobile Police Cavalry Corps under the Mobile Police Command was established by the Ministry of Public Security in March 2021. The Mobile Police Cavalry has the function of directly training and using horses to fight against crime and ensure security and order. At the same time, the Mobile Police Cavalry also actively coordinates with experts in taming and training horses.
Police officers equipped with AK guns, walkie-talkies and batons marched slowly around the walking street.
Horses equipped for the Cavalry Mobile Police were imported from Mongolia.
People gathered early at Nguyen Hue walking street to watch and take photos with the cavalry.
Leading the cavalry was the military band of the Mobile Police Command.
At around 8:15 p.m., the mounted police force began marching. Ho Chi Minh City Police leaders saluted the force as they passed through the downtown area.
Residents and tourists lined up on both sides of the walking street, watching and filming as the mounted police passed by.
