On August 11, in Hanoi , a working delegation of the Navy led by Major General Nguyen An Phong - Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Navy - visited and encouraged the Navy's parade and marching forces in preparation for the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

After listening to the report on training results from the General Staff, Major General Nguyen An Phong and the working delegation directly visited and encouraged the units of the Navy.

Accordingly, during more than 3 months of training at the unit as well as in the area arranged by the Organizing Committee, the forces of the Service always uphold the spirit of responsibility and determination, clearly aware of the honor and pride when participating in the mission.

Despite the hot weather and high training intensity, all officers and soldiers strictly followed discipline, overcame difficulties, trained diligently and achieved positive results.

Up to this point, the training and practice work has been on schedule and of good quality. The standing and walking groups have ensured good posture, style, technique, and movements. The military vehicle group has ensured absolute safety.

Major General Nguyen An Phong acknowledged and commended the spirit and determination to overcome all difficulties and strive to fulfill the tasks of the forces.

The Navy Commissar requested the participating forces to promote their sense of responsibility to affirm to the Party, the State, the Army, the People and international friends the image of the heroic Vietnamese People's Navy soldiers. Promote the spirit of organization, discipline, solidarity, love and mutual assistance, overcoming the sun and rain.

Major General Nguyen An Phong emphasized: This parade is not only an opportunity to propagate and educate the tradition of patriotism and revolutionary spirit, but also a profound gratitude to the generations of fathers and brothers who heroically sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. This is also an opportunity to demonstrate the national defense strength and the remarkable growth of the Vietnam People's Army in general and the Vietnam People's Navy in particular over the past 80 years under the leadership of the Party.
