Thailand team suffered a record heavy defeat

In the October international matches, the Thai team tested their strength against European opponents. The reigning Southeast Asian champions faced Georgia last night (October 12). The European team ranked 38th in Europe (according to FIFA rankings), 78th in the world .

The Thai team did not have the strongest squad. Stars Teerasil Dangda, Suphanat Muaenta, Supachok Sarachat, Chanathip Songkrasin or Supachai Jaided were not called up and did not participate in this tour. The quality was clearly inferior to the opponent, the team from the land of the golden pagodas lost heavily.

Being 6 goals down, the next period no longer had much technical meaning for the Thai team. They lost confidence in playing football and often made mistakes.

Mikautadze scored another goal and Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia added another to complete an 8-0 win for Georgia. This was Georgia's biggest win and Thailand's biggest defeat in history.
