Bat Xat Border Guard Station: Launching the "Godmother" model

On the morning of July 5, Bat Xat Border Guard Station coordinated with the Women's Union of the Border Guard Command, the Lao Cai Provincial Military Command and philanthropists to launch the "Godmother" model, phase 2025 - 2030.

At the program, the benefactors sponsored and provided financial support to 15 students with especially difficult circumstances in Bat Xat commune, Lao Cai province; the support level was 500,000 VND/child/month.

Every month, Bat Xat Border Guard Station sends officers to coordinate with schools to encourage and monitor the children's learning process and at the same time guide families to receive and use the support money for the right purpose and effectively.

Previously, in 2024, Y Ty Border Guard Station also deployed the "Godmother" model, helping 31 children in difficult circumstances in the management area to continue going to school.

The implementation of the “Godmother” model demonstrates the responsibility and affection of the Lao Cai Border Guard force towards the ethnic people in the border area; helping people to further improve their material and spiritual life, encouraging students to overcome difficulties and excel in their studies. Thereby, strengthening the solidarity and attachment between the army and the people, encouraging people to actively participate with the border guards in managing and protecting the sovereignty and security of the national border, building a prosperous and strong border area.
