Close 2 bottom spillways of Tuyen Quang hydroelectric reservoir

On July 4, the Minister of Agriculture and Environment issued dispatches on closing the bottom discharge gate of Tuyen Quang Hydropower Reservoir and dispatches to the People's Committees of the provinces and cities of Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho, and Hanoi on ensuring downstream safety when operating Tuyen Quang Hydropower Reservoir.

At 2:00 p.m. on July 4, the upstream water level of Tuyen Quang Lake was at 105.33 m; the downstream water level was 53.85 m, the flow to the lake was 1,246 ^{m 3} /s, the total flow to the downstream was 1,744 ^{m 3} /s. The Minister of Agriculture and Environment ordered the Director of Tuyen Quang Hydropower Company to close one bottom spillway gate at 8:00 p.m. on July 4 and close the remaining gate at 9:00 a.m. on July 5.

Tuyen Quang Hydropower Reservoir will close two more bottom spillway gates.

To ensure safety for constructions and riverside activities, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment requests the People's Committees of provinces and cities to notify authorities at all levels, people, and organizations operating on rivers and along rivers to proactively take measures to ensure safety and adjust activities accordingly; not allowing people to go to areas at risk of landslides, to avoid unfortunate losses.
