The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee received a working delegation from the National Assembly of the People's Government of Cuba.

On the morning of September 14, at the headquarters of the Provincial People's Committee, Comrade Pham Quang Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee received a working delegation of the National Assembly of the People's Power of Cuba led by Ms. Ana María Mari Machado, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, Vice President of the National Assembly of the People's Power and the Council of State of Cuba.

At the reception, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc expressed his joy to welcome the delegation of the National Assembly of the People's Government of Cuba to visit Ninh Binh province during an official visit to Vietnam on the occasion of the two countries celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first visit to Vietnam by leader Fidel Castro Ruz (September 1973 - September 2023).

He affirmed: The Party Committee, government and people of Ninh Binh always attach importance to, preserve and promote the exemplary brotherly relationship, traditional friendship, solidarity and loyalty, and strengthen cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba.

The comrade briefly informed about the geo- political characteristics and socio-economic development situation of the province. He emphasized that Ninh Binh is a land rich in cultural, historical and revolutionary traditions, once the capital of Dai Co Viet state, with a unique cultural space. Typical examples are Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, the first mixed heritage of Southeast Asia recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage; Cuc Phuong National Park with its pristine primeval forest and unique landscape...

Therefore, Ninh Binh province aims to develop in a sustainable direction, taking the preservation of historical, cultural and natural values as the foundation for development, harmoniously balancing industrial development, ecological agriculture associated with tourism services.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Ms. Ana María Mari Machado, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, Vice President of the National Assembly of the People's Government and the Council of State of Cuba, sincerely thanked the provincial leaders for their warm welcome and congratulated the achievements of Ninh Binh province in recent times.

The Vice President of the National Assembly, People's Government and Council of State of Cuba said that Ninh Binh province is the first locality that the delegation visited during their working trip to Vietnam. The delegation includes young parliamentarians who will attend the 9th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians, hosted by the Vietnamese National Assembly in Hanoi in the coming days. Young parliamentarians are an important factor in continuing to promote and further strengthen the relationship between Vietnam and Cuba.

She hopes that her working trip to Vietnam and visit to Ninh Binh province will help strengthen the close relationship between the two countries and between the provinces and cities of the two nations.
