Dong Nai has the first university to meet foreign accreditation standards.

Accordingly, in addition to Lac Hong University, there are 3 other recognized universities and colleges, including: Hanoi National University, VinUni University, Hoa Sen University and Vietnam - Japan University.

The international quality accreditation process of Lac Hong University is carried out by the ASEAN University Network for Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) and up to now, 14 majors have met the new standards of AUN-QA. This is also the accreditation organization for universities under the Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, and the University of Natural Sciences (under the Vietnam National University, Hanoi).

To date, the country has a total of 16 universities and colleges recognized as meeting foreign accreditation standards, assessed by foreign accreditation organizations, including 12 universities and colleges recognized from 2024 onwards and 4 new universities and colleges recognized in 2025.

Thus, Lac Hong University has become the first university in Dong Nai to be recognized as meeting foreign accreditation standards.

Dr. Lam Thanh Hien, Principal of Lac Hong University, said: Up to now, the school has achieved 2 cycles of domestic quality accreditation according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training. Continuing to achieve foreign accreditation standards is an important new development step of the school. The school is continuing to accredit training majors according to the US ABET standards and has had the first 2 majors to achieve ABET accreditation standards: Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology and Information Technology.
