Upon receiving the information, Dong Phu Commune Police sent officers to the scene, coordinating with local authorities, organizations and people to handle the situation. The police promptly took the baby away from the mother, who was mentally unstable, and took her to the Commune Health Station for health monitoring.

The commune police verified her identity, looked up data and identified the woman as Ms. D.TM (born in 1992, from Dak Sin commune, Lam Dong province) who had been missing for many months after developing a mental illness. Immediately after that, the unit contacted the family and created conditions for the family to pick up Ms. M.
According to her family, Ms. M. began showing signs of mental illness in June 2024. In October 2024, while her parents were working, Ms. M. left home and has been missing for many months.
Touched by the enthusiastic help of the authorities, Ms. M’s family wrote a letter of deep thanks to the police, the People’s Committee and the people of Dong Phu commune. Along with that, the government and organizations mobilized 3 million VND in support so that the family could bring the mother and child back home safely.
