"Made in Vietnam" by music producer DTAP made the audience both emotional and proud, and also surprised because Vietnamese showbiz stars such as: People's Artist Bach Tuyet, My Tam, Ha Anh Tuan, People's Artist Thanh Thuy, Vo Ha Tram, Hong Nhung, Den Vau, Hien Thuc, Toc Tien, Karik... all appeared in the album.

As a thank you

Sharing about the project, DTAP said: "We see "Made in Vietnam" as a tribute to the country. Each song is not just music, but also a piece of Vietnamese culture, memories and dreams. We hope that the audience listening to the album will find themselves in it."

The presence of many famous artists, especially young singers, has contributed to affirming the prestige and quality of DTAP's music making. But the most impressive thing is each product, each mix, full of pride in the lyrics, and full of emotions about the homeland. "Made in Vietnam" is the voice of a generation of young producers, who both respect the sacrifices of their ancestors and are passionate about the beauty of identity, nature and the extraordinary things in the daily life of Vietnamese people.

DTAP's "Made in Vietnam" has just been released and has received a lot of attention thanks to its content that evokes pride and solidarity among the people. The catchy mixes exude a heroic spirit. Many songs carry profound meanings honoring the noble values of the country and people of Vietnam. 16 songs are arranged into 3 continuous chapters, representing 16 typical beauties and spiritual values of Vietnam.

Each song is a slice that, when combined, creates a Vietnamese image that is both familiar and everyday, yet heroic and proud. By harmoniously combining traditional materials and modern arrangements, the album brings a musical experience that is both familiar and new, while reflecting the spirit of pride, solidarity and aspiration to rise of the nation.

People's Artist Bach Tuyet (performing the song "Nam Quoc Son Ha" with rapper Phao) shared: "I am 80 years old this year, having gone through many ups and downs with the country. I am grateful to be able to participate with young people in a proud project and I feel that I and you have learned from each other to think independently but with the same love for the Fatherland."

Through "Made in Vietnam" - Vietnam appears as a beautiful, prosperous country, rich in cultural identity and full of humanity, and always steadfast in preserving the integrity of its homeland. "Made in Vietnam" ends with "The Letter from Vietnam" - like a sincere letter sent to international friends. "In each melody is the image of a beautiful and humane Vietnam, a nation that always aspires to reach out to the world but is still proud to preserve its roots, national spirit and territorial integrity" - DTAP expressed.

Don't forget your roots

DTAP is the name of 3 young men who work in composing and arranging music. The group includes Thinh Kainz (real name Nguyen Hoang Thinh, born in 1996), Kata Tran (Tran Khanh, born in 1997) and Tung Cedrus (Vo Thanh Tung, born in 1998), operating as a group of musicians and music producers. DTAP means "Double Tap" (the action of liking an image on Instagram) and "Disciples of Mr. Phong" because they were once led by musician Nguyen Hai Phong.

Studying economics and marketing, the three found something in common - their love of music. They compared each member to a chemical element, waiting to combine to create a reaction. This starting point gives DTAP an advantage in updating trends, capturing the audience and choosing the right time to launch products. The members have to convince and prove to their families their passion and potential in music. Kata Tran's father is a lecturer at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, but he does not want his son to pursue art. Thinh Kainz's family oriented him to study economics for a stable future. With initial achievements, they comfortably pursue their careers because they are supported by their relatives.

To achieve the current success, DTAP went through a difficult period when its music products were not well received. DTAP's music has a folk color combined with modern trends. DTAP's compositions are highly appreciated for their cheerful lyrics, rhyming, diverse use of folk images, and modern thinking. When an idea is born, the group will sit down and discuss it carefully before implementing it. They divide the work according to each person's expertise. Tung Cedrus is in charge of the melody, Kata Tran writes the lyrics, and Thinh Kainz arranges the music.

Thinh Kainz said: "Vietnam has 54 ethnic groups with many different musical instruments and melodies. Our country also possesses a large treasure trove of folk songs, proverbs, and literature. All of these become inspiration and material for our compositions. We want the audience to feel the origin and culture of our nation when listening to the music we create."

DTAP's secret to success is "not to reuse the old formula for success, but always recreate it in a way that makes the artist become the best version". From the album "LINK" (Hoang Thuy Linh), or the album "Vu tru co bay" (Phuong My Chi) - DTAP has been very successful in "breathing life" into folk material in a contemporary form. Thanks to that, the songs in the album have both familiar and modern nuances.

"Working together to orient and develop music with Phuong My Chi - a prominent representative of folk music - is an opportunity for us to continue spreading traditional values through a contemporary lens and bring it to international friends. During the collaborations, both sides found common ground in preserving the roots, while also seeking a new direction suitable for national music. If you want to go far, you must remember your roots" - DTAP confided.

The three boys used to live in a cramped room, sharing lunch boxes, even arguing with each other because of different opinions and opposite personalities. Tung Cedrus was considered quiet, the other two members often created internal arguments. The closer the group was, the more they knew how to balance. Each product before being released had to have the will and spirit of the group.

The initial success helps DTAP no longer worry about the burden of "bread and butter", thus focusing on professional development. The group's music must always be new and absolutely different. For DTAP, doing the job is not only for "fame" but for the mission of promoting Vietnamese music to the world.

"Bringing Vietnamese culture to the international community should not be just a matter of slogans, but of telling stories that we truly understand and cherish.

As one of Vietnam's prominent music producers, DTAP has made its mark with modern musical thinking, constantly exploring and innovating in each project. The group has produced many successful songs such as "See Tinh", album "LINK" (Hoang Thuy Linh), "Vu Co Bay", "Bong Phu Hoa" (Phuong My Chi)... These products show the group's efforts in bringing Vietnamese music closer to global tastes while still maintaining cultural depth. In particular, "See Tinh" has become an international phenomenon with more than 1.3 billion views on TikTok, 100 million YouTube views and 50 million listens on Spotify.
