Railways reduce train ticket prices after summer on the North-South route until the end of December 2024, with many attractive incentive policies.

Saigon Railway Transport Joint Stock Company said it is implementing a program to reduce train ticket prices after summer 2024, with many attractive incentives.

Specifically, from September 4 to December 31, 2024, passengers buying individual tickets for Thong Nhat trains with a travel distance of 900km or more, SE21/SE22 trains between Saigon station - Da Nang station with a travel distance of 600km or more, SNT1/SNT2 trains between Saigon station - Nha Trang station with a travel distance of 300km or more will receive discounts when purchasing many days in advance.

Accordingly, pre-purchase from 10-19 days gets a 5% discount; 20-39 days or more gets a 10% discount; 40 days or more gets a 15% discount. However, this discount does not apply to 4-berth cabin seats on trains SNT1/SNT2 and SE3. For trains SPT1/SPT2 between Saigon station and Phan Thiet station, individual passengers who buy through-train tickets 10 days or more in advance get a 10% discount. However, this does not apply to 4-berth cabin seats. At the same time, the railway applies a 10% discount on return tickets when passengers buy round-trip tickets; a 5% discount on tickets for union members who buy individual tickets. Groups of union members from 10-39 people get a 7% discount, and groups of 40 people or more get a 10% discount. In addition, the railway still applies the policy of exempting and reducing ticket prices for social policy subjects: Vietnamese heroic mothers, wounded and sick soldiers, people with severe disabilities, children, students, etc.
