Waterways announce 51 traffic restrictions on northern rivers

The Vietnam Inland Waterways Administration has just announced a list of locations where waterway traffic is restricted on rivers in the Northern region, to ensure the safety of river crossing bridges.

Accordingly, there are 51 locations at 50 road and railway bridges crossing the river and one location with a power line crossing the river at Km 60+600 Lo River (Doan Hung district, Phu Tho province), prohibiting all inland waterway vehicles from passing through the navigation areas of these bridges, except for vehicles performing the following tasks: Rescue, search and rescue, traffic safety regulation and guidance.

This agency requires all inland waterway vehicles when going to the above area to absolutely obey the instructions of the authorities, regulate and ensure safety of inland waterway traffic, and strictly comply with the Law on Inland Waterway Traffic.
