Song Cay route (Thach Ha town, Ha Tinh) is more than 3km long, connecting from National Highway 1A to Ha Tinh city bypass. There are hundreds of households living on both sides of the road, the number of vehicles participating in traffic is very high, especially during rush hour.

Currently, this road has seriously degraded. The asphalt layer on the road surface is peeling off, many places have "potholes" forming deep holes, which "turn" into large puddles when it rains.

The road surface is full of potholes, so vehicles must move slowly to avoid dangerous areas.

"Every day I have to travel on this route about 5-10 times because I have to take my children to school, then go to the market... The road has been degraded for nearly a year, because there are quite a lot of vehicles participating in traffic at this location, many of them are heavy trucks. We now hope that the local government has a solution such as spreading gravel in deep puddles so that people can travel with peace of mind," said Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha (50 years old, resident of village 3, Thach Ha town).

According to local residents, due to road deterioration, in the rainy season many locations form large puddles that pose a potential risk of accidents. In the summer, the dust greatly affects people's lives.

The degraded road condition not only causes difficulties for traffic participants but also poses potential risks to the health and safety of people in the area.

The badly damaged road has caused misery to many people living along the road. Especially during rush hour, many students travel on the road which is very dangerous.

Talking to Tien Phong, the leader of Thach Ha town (Thach Ha district) said that recently, the Song Cay road has seriously degraded, and people have repeatedly petitioned and proposed solutions to ensure traffic safety on the route. However, so far there have been no solutions. According to local leaders, the degraded road has created deep puddles, posing a risk of traffic accidents, especially at night when visibility is limited.
