According to the old rules, Dani Olmo would be honored because he had 2 assists, more than the other 5 names. Notably, Dani Olmo was the only one to receive the award and take a photo with the EURO 2024 Golden Boot after the final match this morning.

Harry Kane refused to accept the award with Olmo. This was understandable when England once again lost the final and missed out on their first ever EURO title.
