Some argue that AI will lead to job losses and increased inequality. Others believe that AI, applied properly, can increase productivity and create new opportunities.

Using AI is both convenient and flawed

Generation Z (those born after 1996) are more likely to understand the impact of AI in the workplace than anyone else. EduBirdie research surveyed 2,000 Gen Zers in the US to find out how they use ChatGPT at work.

36% of Gen Z employees use AI to do their jobs more efficiently. On the other hand, many struggle with feelings of guilt and dependency when using AI. 18% say AI hinders creativity and critical thinking.

These mixed reactions may be because Gen Zers are more aware of the potential consequences of using technology than previous generations. They grew up in an era of rapid technological change, with many topics revolving around the social and ethical impacts of AI. Therefore, they cannot hide their feelings of "unease about relying on AI to do their jobs."

Another factor could be the lack of education and training needed to use AI appropriately and effectively. The study revealed that 20% of Gen Z respondents had difficulty using AI in the workplace. 2% were even fired for using ChatGPT.

I don't believe I will be replaced by AI.

Despite the challenges, AI has many benefits. Research shows that nearly half of Generation Z agree that AI makes them more creative. One in seven say AI will increase their income.

This shows that AI has the potential to improve productivity and create new opportunities, especially in areas that require creativity and innovation.

The survey found that 61% of Gen Zers use ChatGPT for research and documentation purposes, 56% use it to brainstorm ideas and solutions, and 42% use it to write and create content. Only 23% use AI to edit their resumes to help them stand out to employers.

A recent survey also found that Gen Z is not very concerned about AI replacing them in the workplace, with only 9% believing it is likely to happen by 2024. However, 61% think AI could take their jobs within the next 10 years.

In particular, because AI is often used to write programming languages, people in this field will worry about whether they will be replaced by AI. However, while AI-powered applications like ChatGPT have huge amounts of data to program, they lack the experience and expertise needed to solve very specific or complex problems.

Nhạc sĩ AI sẽ không được nhận tiền bản quyền AI musicians will not receive royalties
