It is forecasted that next week, domestic coffee prices will fluctuate within a narrow range of around 94,000 - 95,000 VND/kg. In the short term, if the world market does not have a major shock and the supply does not increase suddenly, coffee prices are likely to maintain a stable rhythm.

Meanwhile, pepper prices on June 28 remained stable at the same level as yesterday. Traders purchased in Dak Lak , Dak Nong, and Ba Ria-Vung Tau at 128,000 VND/kg.

In Gia Lai, Dong Nai, Binh Phuoc, pepper price is 127,000 VND/kg; Dong Nai traders still buy at 127,000 VND/kg.

According to data from China Customs, the country imported a total of 4,017 tons of pepper in the first five months of the year, equivalent to 25.5 million USD, a sharp increase of 53.8% in volume and 2.1 times in value compared to the same period last year.

Of which, Indonesia is the largest pepper supplier with 2,219 tons, up 66.5% and accounting for 55.2% of market share, compared to 51% in the same period last year.

Vietnam ranked second with 1,288 tons, up 33.8%. However, Vietnam's market share decreased slightly, from 36.9% to 32.1%.

The reason could be that Vietnam’s pepper export price to China increased sharply by 62% compared to the same period, reaching an average of 7,053 USD/ton. Meanwhile, Indonesian pepper price was significantly lower, at only 5,831 USD/ton, up 33.1%.

In addition to the two markets mentioned above, China also imported 356 tons of pepper from Brazil, up 142%; from Malaysia reached 112 tons, up 8.7% over the same period last year.
