The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Gia Lai province, the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine and many local consumers.
According to Mr. Doan Ngoc Co, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Gia Lai province, in the context of the complicated developments of African swine fever in 30/34 provinces and cities nationwide, the opening of a clean pork store with clear origin and strict disease control is a remarkable effort by the farm owner to provide people with a reliable address in choosing safe food, ensuring veterinary hygiene.

Mr. Ho Ngoc Xuan, Owner of Phu Hung Farm, said: Opening a clean meat store comes from the passion to bring consumers a safe food source, especially in the context of African swine fever still complicated in many localities across the country. Phu Hung Farm was built in 2015 on an area of 15 hectares and officially put into operation in 2016. Currently, the farm owns 2,600 sows, producing an average of 6,000 breeding pigs per month, and operates 6 pig farms in An Nhon Tay commune (Gia Lai province) and Dak Lak province, supplying about 50,000 pigs to the market each year.

In a quick exchange with reporters at the opening ceremony, Mr. Doan Ngoc Co highly appreciated Phu Hung's livestock model, and said that this is a private farm that meets VietGAP standards, applying a biosafety livestock model, closed with advanced waste treatment technology, aiming for sustainable efficiency. The opening of Phu Hung Farm's clean meat store has contributed to improving food quality for consumers, and is also a testament to the effectiveness of the safe and sustainable livestock model and should be encouraged to be replicated in the province's livestock industry in the coming time.
