Gia Lai studies and thoroughly grasps the content of the works of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong | Gia Lai Electronic Newspaper

(GLO)- On the morning of June 2, at the 2-9 Hall (Pleiku City), Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee held a conference for the whole province to study and thoroughly grasp the work "Resolutely and persistently fight against corruption and negativity, contributing to building our Party and State increasingly clean and strong" by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

Comrades: Ho Van Nien - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Truong Hai Long - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Rah Lan Chung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee chaired the conference. The conference was connected from the main bridge point of Hall 2-9 to 240 bridge points at district and commune levels throughout the province with more than 9,600 delegates attending.

Attending the conference at the main bridge of the province were former Secretaries, Deputy Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee, members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee through the periods, retired generals currently living in Pleiku City; members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee; leaders of specialized agencies advising and assisting the Provincial Party Committee; departments, branches, sectors, Fatherland Front and socio- political organizations of the province; special associations at the provincial level; Gia Lai Newspaper, Provincial Radio and Television Station; Standing Committees of the Party Committees: Provincial Police, Provincial Military, Provincial Border Guard; members of the Provincial Party Committee Inspection Committee; Central reporters, Provincial Party Committee reporters of the 16th term currently working at provincial agencies and units....

At the conference, delegates listened to the reporter - Dr. Nguyen Thai Hoc - Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission disseminate and thoroughly understand the core content of the work "Resolutely and persistently fight against corruption and negativity, contributing to building our Party and State increasingly clean and strong" by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

The book consists of 600 pages, divided into 3 parts. Part 1: "Some issues drawn from the practice of the fight against corruption and negativity in Vietnam" includes: an overview article "fighting against corruption and negativity" is a necessary, inevitable task, an irreversible trend; 4 concluding speeches at national conferences on preventing and fighting corruption and negativity; conclusions and directions of the General Secretary at 36 meetings of the Steering Committee and the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee from 2013 to 2022.

Part two: "Consistently preventing corruption and negativity from early on, from afar, both the top and the bottom" has a capacity of about 300 pages, selecting 22 typical articles by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on Party building and rectification work; lifelong training, regular self-examination and self-correction of cadres and party members.

Part three: “Unanimity from top to bottom, clarity from top to bottom” collects and selects 62 opinions of people from all walks of life on the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity; 10 opinions of National Assembly deputies and 24 opinions of foreign politicians and scholars on the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity in Vietnam. It demonstrates the people's recognition, support, and deep trust in the fight against corruption and negativity, which is carried out regularly, resolutely, and persistently under the leadership of the Party, directly by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

Also at the conference, the reporter - Dr. Nguyen Thai Hoc - Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Committee informed about the purpose of compiling and publishing the book and the process of compiling and publishing the book.

The book is a “handbook” on the fight against corruption and negativity in Vietnam; reflecting the selfless and pure revolutionary life of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong from when he was a young cadre at the age of 29 until now as the head of our Party - an exemplary model, simple, honest, saying goes with doing, doing with all his heart and soul for the Party and for the people. The book helps cadres, party members and people of all walks of life, international friends understand clearly the nature of the fight against corruption and negativity in Vietnam; equipping them with theoretical and practical bases to refute the distorted propaganda of hostile forces, actively taking action to contribute to the fight against “internal invaders”. The book helps strengthen the belief, consensus and support of people of all walks of life in the Party's leadership in the fight against corruption and negativity.

The book has profound content, vivid form, logical and tight structure, showing the combination of "building" and "fighting", between preventing and fighting corruption and negativity with building and rectifying the Party, between the political determination of the Party leader, of the whole Party and the entire political system with the consensus and support of the people and international friends. The overview is the central content of the book, expressed in a modern, lively journalistic style, conveying important messages. The articles and speeches of Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong were collected over many periods, in many different positions, but still consistently expressed the views and thoughts of the General Secretary in fighting and preventing corruption and negativity.

Concluding the conference, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Van Nien emphasized: The conference is an important political activity, helping cadres and party members deeply understand the key and core contents of the General Secretary's work. The Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee issued plan No. 150-KH/TU dated April 28, 2023 on implementing a broad political and ideological activity on the content of the work "Resolutely and persistently fighting against corruption and negativity, contributing to building our Party and State increasingly clean and strong" by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. Based on the content disseminated at the Conference, it is recommended that the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department continue to register to purchase the General Secretary's works and Q&A documents, and send them to the Party's grassroots organizations, agencies, localities and units to serve as a basis for implementation in accordance with Plan 150 of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee, making the study and dissemination of the work "Resolutely and persistently fighting against corruption and negativity, contributing to building our Party and State increasingly clean and strong" by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong a widespread political activity in the entire Provincial Party Committee.
