Domestic rice prices

In the Mekong Delta, rice prices are stable: IR 50404, OM 18, Nang Hoa 9, Dai Thom 8 5,700 - 6,200 VND/kg; OM 5451 5,900 - 6,000 VND/kg. OM 380 raw rice increased by 100 VND/kg to 8,300 - 8,400 VND/kg, CL 555 increased by 150 VND/kg to 8,800 - 8,900 VND/kg, OM 5451 9,500 - 9,650 VND/kg, IR 504 8,500 - 8,600 VND/kg, OM 18 9,600 - 9,700 VND/kg.

Trading market

Low supply of rice at the end of the season, slow transactions in An Giang, Dong Thap, Ca Mau, Can Tho, Long An . Traders buy sparingly, farmers keep prices high, market is stable.

Export rice price

Vietnam's rice export prices are stable: 5% broken rice is 395 USD/ton, 25% broken rice is 371 USD/ton, 100% broken rice is 339 USD/ton, surpassing Thailand (370 USD/ton). India reduced the price of 5% broken rice to 360 - 368 USD/ton due to weak rupee and excess supply. US import tax increased by 50% from August 28 and India released 7 million tons of rice, putting downward pressure on prices.
