At ABC Bakery (No. 109, 30/4 Street), the inspection team assessed compliance with legal regulations on food safety. At the same time, they inspected food safety conditions during processing, product quality and safety, origin of input materials; legal documents, labels, production date and expiry date of ingredients.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Hong, Captain of Food Safety Management Team No. 1, said that recently, the unit has organized many food safety inspection teams in wards and communes. From September 5th to now, the team has inspected many production and business establishments and randomly selected 10 product samples for testing to assess quality and safety.
Through on-site inspection, the delegation noted that most establishments complied with food safety regulations; raw materials had clear labels and documents proving their origin; and establishments had full business licenses as prescribed.
However, some establishments still do not fully understand the regulations on product labeling. Many establishments do not attach additional labels to imported products, and the labels lack mandatory information. The delegation invited representatives of establishments to handle, propagate and guide the implementation and compliance with regulations.
In addition to inspecting moon cakes and confectionery products, Food Safety Management Team No. 1 focused on inspecting food service establishments, where units organize Mid-Autumn Festival for children. The team focused on checking business conditions regarding the origin of raw materials, food sample storage and processing procedures.
“During the inspection process, for establishments that do not ensure food safety and hygiene regulations, the inspection team will remind and request strict compliance, and commit to complying with the regulations. For violations, if they are reminded but do not comply, the team will strictly handle them according to the law,” said Ms. Hong.
