The price of durian on August 10th suddenly dropped in many key areas such as Dong Nai, Binh Phuoc , Gia Lai, making farmers and traders worried. However, some localities made a difference, with prices still maintained at the peak, even up to nearly 90,000 VND/kg for high-end durian.

Durian price today August 10: Ri6 and Thai prices drop simultaneously
In Dong Nai , the prices of Thai durian and Ri6 have both cooled down. Specifically:
Thai durian grade A is only 72,000 VND/kg, grade B is 52,000 VND/kg.
Ri6 durian type A is only 40,000 VND/kg, type B is 25,000 VND/kg.
Similarly, in Binh Phuoc, the price of Ri6 durian grade A also dropped to 38,000 VND/kg. In Gia Lai , although the price of Thai durian remained at a relatively good level (73,000 VND/kg for grade A), the price of Ri6 durian remained low, grade A was only 40,000 VND/kg.
These figures show a downward trend in durian prices, causing many difficulties for growers.
Bright spot in Dak Lak maintains 'huge' prices
In the context of a sluggish market, Dak Lak has emerged as a surprising bright spot. Warehouses here are still willing to pay sky-high prices for quality durians.
Beautiful VIP Thai durian is purchased at 90,000 VND/kg - an amazing number.
Musang King grade A is not far behind, priced at 80,000 VND/kg.
The prices of Thai durian and Ri6 durian in Dak Lak also remain higher than in other localities. Thai durian grade A ranges from 71,000 to 75,000 VND/kg, while Ri6 durian grade A reaches 39,000 VND/kg.
Khanh Hoa is also a locality with relatively stable prices, with Thai durian type A remaining at 72,000 VND/kg and Ri6 durian type A at 40,000 VND/kg.
The price difference between regions shows that the durian market is extremely complex and volatile. Prices can be affected by many factors, from supply and demand to logistics and weather issues. This requires farmers to always update information and have flexible production plans to avoid unwanted risks.
